Simba SC fans are expected to fill Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam wearing the club’s new red jerseys as preparations for the much-anticipated Simba Day celebration have been completed.

Simba SC Head of Information and Communication Department, Ahmed Ally, said the club is fully prepared for the annual event, urging supporters to attend in large numbers and celebrate their team in style.

Speaking on August 7, 2026, Ally said the build-up activities had reached the final stage, with tomorrow’s Simba Day set to mark the climax of celebrations that have attracted excitement among Wanasimba across the country.

He said the gates at Uhuru Stadium will open at 10:00am, with entertainment programmes scheduled to begin early before the main activities take place.

“All preparations are complete. Key guests, artists and the invited team have already arrived in Dar es Salaam. We are now waiting for Simba supporters to come and make this a memorable celebration,” Ally said.

As part of the final preparations, Simba SC leaders hosted a special biryani meal with children, an initiative aimed at seeking prayers and blessings for the club ahead of the 2026/27 season, which will feature both domestic and international competitions.

Ally called on fans to secure their tickets early, warning that demand is expected to be high as supporters prepare to witness what the club has described as a unique entertainment experience.

He also urged fans attending the event to wear the newly launched red jerseys for the 2026/27 season, saying the move would transform Uhuru Stadium into a sea of red and demonstrate the unity of the Simba family.

“Simba Day is more than just a celebration; it is a special occasion that brings together players, leaders and supporters. We want Uhuru Stadium to reflect the pride and passion of Simba fans through our new colours,” he said.

The event is expected to feature entertainment performances, the unveiling of club plans for the new season and activities designed to strengthen the bond between Simba SC and its supporters ahead of the upcoming football campaign.
